Welcome to my personal website. My name is William H. Blair. I am a lawyer practicing law in Fort Worth for almost 30 years now. I grew up in Hurst, Texas, graduated from L. D. Bell High School in 1967, from North Texas State University in 1971 (BBA in Finance).

After college I worked for Western Savings and Loan as a loan officer before enrolling at Baylor Law School in Waco, Texas, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 1976. I was proudly an Associated Editor of the Baylor Law Review.

After a time in general practice, I went back to law school, this time at SMU in Dallas, and received a Masters of Laws in Taxation in 1981.

In 1987 I became Board Certified in Tax Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This certification required a minimum of five years in practice and a passing grade on a rigorous all day written exam. The State Bar of Texas has a website where you can find a listing of all Board Certified Texas attorneys at www.tbls.org.

I practiced law with a fairly large Fort Worth firm known as McLean and Sanders from 1981 until 1993 when I struck out on my own. I maintained a solo practice from 1993 until June of 2005 when I joined the firm of Law, Snakard and Gambill, P.C. as a shareholder.

My practice is limited since the days of a general practitioner are over. The law has gotten too complicated to keep up with all the different areas of practice. So I only handle matters relating to tax, estate planning, probate, and representing small and medium sized businesses.
